The DC Broomball Invitational moved to Rockville this year and the team was back on the ice with a Duluth record store inspired name addition 'Wandering Aquatic Electric Fetus Jumbo Lump Strippers.'   With a 2-1 record in pool play, the Strippers moved on to Sunday play and made their way to the tournament final losing 1-2 to the DC squad after taking away a win the day before to the same squad.

A Men's Squad of BBC and friend from DC broomball headed north to Massena, NY to play in a red line tournament.  It was a new experience for the DelMarVa players and even with a long car ride to and from, a great time was had and great broomball was played! 

Game 1: 2-2 tie with Bowlmor / Kirby (unassisted); Patterson (Neumann)

Game 2: 1-1 tie vs Syracuse / Patterson (Neumann)

The BBC was once again well represented at the USA Broomball National Championships with two squads heading to Duluth, MN (rosters here).  The Co-Rec team was in a pool of 4 teams, instead of 3 like the rest of the tournament teams. While they did not advance from pool play, it was the best broomball the squad has ever played holding strong against Terminal Frost who had beat most opponants by a very large margin.

The BBC 

The BBC travel team began as a Co-Rec mixed team with our New York Social Sports Club friends and teammates in the spring of 2007. The travel program has grown since the days of the orignial Megatherium Club to include a complete Co-Rec team and Mens C/D team along with BBC members making up the whole or part of The Wandering Aquatic Jumbo Lump Strippers, The Legends and filling in on a variety of other teams when needed. The Baltimore Broomball Club Co-Rec and Men's Travel Teams will be competing in the 2011 USA Broomball National Championships in Duluth, Minnesota March 18-20.

Baltimore Broomball Club has made it's first mark on an ESPN list! The Men's travel team has landed at #90 on the Top 100 Team list. 90. Baltimore BC - Baltimore Maryland!!!!! If you look closely you will see a few things....

The Baltimore Broomball Club will make its Broomfest debut on Saturday, August 28 with two co-rec teams.  There are familiar broomball oppponants, along with several the BBC has never faced.  The tournament takes place on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where broomball is a part of life for most students.

Baltimore Broomball Club members including out-of-state lifetime member Adam Simpson joined to form the thrid team entry for the 2010 DCBI - Wandering Aquatic Jumbo Lump Strippers.  The team went 3-0 in pool play on Saturday against Dayton BuckIce, Philly and NYC Broomz.  Sandeep took a tough fall and dislocated his shoulder in the NYC game.  Hours later he was back hanging with the team and wishing us well for the Sunday match ups.  We wish you a fast recovery
