BBC Members enter Broomfest Tournament

The Baltimore Broomball Club will make its Broomfest debut on Saturday, August 28 with two co-rec teams.  There are familiar broomball oppponants, along with several the BBC has never faced.  The tournament takes place on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where broomball is a part of life for most students.

DC BROOMBALL INVITATIONAL RECAP

Baltimore Broomball Club members including out-of-state lifetime member Adam Simpson joined to form the thrid team entry for the 2010 DCBI - Wandering Aquatic Jumbo Lump Strippers.  The team went 3-0 in pool play on Saturday against Dayton BuckIce, Philly and NYC Broomz.  Sandeep took a tough fall and dislocated his shoulder in the NYC game.  Hours later he was back hanging with the team and wishing us well for the Sunday match ups.  We wish you a fast recovery

BBC Members to play in 3rd D.C. Broomball Invitational

The Baltimore Broomball Club will be again be participating in the D.C. Broomball Invitational in Arlington, VA on June 12th and 13th.  This is the 3rd year for the tournament and the 3rd year the Aquatic Strippers and Legends have participated.

The Baltimore Broomball Club Co-Rec and Men's Travel Teams will be competing in the 2010 USA Broomball National Championships at Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota March 26-28.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS

The Co-Rec team has its best showing ever at the National Championships with a third place finish, never losing in regulation!  It was a total team effort with 12 players being involved in the goal scoring throughout the tournament.

GOOD LUCK BBC TRAVEL TEAMS!

The Baltimore Broomball Club Co-Rec and Men's Travel Teams will be competing in the 2010 USA Broomball National Championships at Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota this weekend! The 27 BBC members will compete in Pool Play on Friday and move to the bracket rounds on Saturday.  

September 2009 - Rec-a-palooza/Co-Rec Team & Men’s Team (Blaine, MN)

JUNE 2009 - D.C. BROOMBALL INVITATIONAL/CO-REC TEAM (BALLSTON, VA)

BBC players took the ice on three teams June 20 and 21 for the Second Annual DCBI.  A full roster of BBC players made up the Wandering Aquatic Strippers squad and brought home the championship title! Jason Williams captained the championship team and Stripper Bradford M. Neumann took home the M.V.P. trophy.  Dan St. John brought together a family affair with St.

March 2009 - National Broomball Championships/Co-Rec Team & Men’s Team (Richfield, MN)

It was a banner tournament for the BBC! A full BBC Co-Rec team and the first ever BBC Men’s team to compete in a tournament headed to Minnesota to take on the field of competition. It was the tournament's largest field ever, with 54 teams on the ice. This was the second entry for the Co-Rec team -- a new look, new players and a new attitude, all of which paid off with a big opening round win against Miami University of Ohio. The Co-Rec finished 1-3 on the weekend, with a tough loss in the semi-finals but impressed the mostly Minnesota-based teams.

June 2008 – D.C. Broomball Invitational/Co-Rec Team (Ballston, VA)

BBC players participated on three of the five teams in this tournament. The Aquatic Strippers squad was 100% BBC players and competed in the finals against the Inflatable Party Sheep of Minneapolis, MN. Though the Aquatic Strippers came in second place, they put up 3 goals against the mighty Sheep!
