Re: Shoe Survey

I have a pair of the green/yellow/black Forest Ice Elite indoor shoes. I've had them about a year and I've had to re-glue the soles three times. The sole is about an inch wider than the shoe itself on each side, which seems to increase traction and balance, but also causes the shoe to press into the sole when you run on it. I think that's what causes the edges of the sole to come unglued. I also tend to drag my toes when I slide, which also pulls on the extended sole in the front. I have lost some nubs, but not more than average, and the traction doesn't seem to have been affected yet.

The traction is excellent, but these were the first pair of indoor shoes I've owned, so all I have to compare them too is a pair of 10 year old D-Gel Rek shoes. They are also about a at least a half size too big, but the fit hasn't caused me any problems. I also didn't really like to awkward way they lace up, which tore up the original laces very quickly and make them hard tie snugly (which may be why I think they're a little too big).

Overall they are decent shoes, but probably not worth the extra money, since I bought the most expensive pair thinking they would be more durable. A lot of newbies in the DC league have been purchasing broomball shoes and have asked about recommendations and sizing, so I'd appreciate any info the rest of you have.
