Beth V. Williams – Chief Ice Officer / Jersey #: 9 / Nicknames: BV, Attack Monkey
Like many others, Beth began her broomball career at Miami University (Oxford, OH) through their intramural program and planned her first Broomball tournament on campus.  Over ten years later and a fair amount of half-ice seasons behind her, full-ice competitive broomball would become an integral part of her life.  After being a part of the first Baltimore/New York City Megatherium Club travel team, with the help of several passionate friends and broomball players alike, Beth became one of the founding members of the Baltimore Broomball Club in the fall of 2007. In 2010 Beth was given the Ambassador Award at the National Championship Tournament and inductued into the USA Broomball Hall of Fame. She continues to manage the club and its innerworkings, but when the ball drops and she is sporting her #9....it's game time! Beth can always be reached at beth [at] baltimorebroomball [dot] com.

Jason Williams - Business Development Director & Manager/Coach of Travel Teams

Jason has been playing broomball for nearly a decade, starting his career with a nerf-style ball and a 3-foot long broom with the bristles cut off the end of it.  Many years later and with much better equipment, he was the captain of the Megatherium Club, formed with Baltimore teammates and friends from the surrounding New York area, competing in the winter of 2007 at the Broomball Nationals in Minnesota.  He is proud to head up Batlimore's National semi-finalist Co-Rec and National quarter-finalist Mens teams. 

Holly Hobbs – Social Coordinator / Jersey #: 11 / Nickname: Holly Hobby
I started playing broomball in fall of 2002, not knowing anything other than it involve ice, tennis shoes and brooms, and have been hooked ever since. Through the seasons with the BSSC and the City league I have met and become friends with most of the league, and have seen the birth of the BBC and the travel teams. I have been the “fun” coordinator since the league started in 2007 and the rest is history.

Brooooooooomball!! Thanks to our very own Cory Koons I have been introduced to the Baltimore Broomball Club. I joined the BBC in Fall 2008 and have been getting bruises ever since. Before full ice, I played on a half-ice broomball team and participated in several other sports throughout the year. Broomball has been a great outlet and a great vice for keeping me sane throughout nursing school. I look forward to many more sessions with the BBC! Kate Foster – New Member Coordinator / Jersey #: 66 / Nickname: Squealer
Shortly after moving to B-more I was asked to play on a BSSC half ice team in the winter of 2007. I didn't know what broomball was other than I would be running around on ice in my sneakers with a stick of some sort in my hand which seemed vaguely silly and dangerous so of course I was intrigued. I was hooked after my first game and have continuously played in both the BSSC and Parks & Rec half ice leagues for the past 3 years. Over the summer of 2007 I got my first taste of full ice action when a friend asked if I'd be able to fill a vacancy last minute on the BBC tournament team which was playing in DC. Wearing shoes borrowed from Beth, I survived and loved it but for some reason didn't join the BBC. The only possible explanation for that lapse in judgement is that the full effects of broomball addition had yet to take hold. I finally came to my senses in the fall of 2009 and have fully embraced the broomball lifestyle, i.e. funny shoes, helmet with full cage and my own stick.

Mike Garlow – New Member Coordinator / Jersey #: 25  / Nickname: Yutz
Mike Garlow aka Yutz, found the wonderful and addicting sport of broomball in the fall of 2008.  I never believed it would become so fascinating.  After randomly meeting Cory Koons at a local bar during the NCAA March Madness seeding special when we both cheered for the Pitt Panthers getting a high seed and showing our "Man-Love" toward the city of Pittsburgh, he invited me to check out the Baltimore Broomball Club for a competitive broomball experience.  I began playing pickups with the BBC in May of 2009 and since then, have gained many new friends from a sport I never heard of just a few years ago.

Joey Tercero – Operations Manager / Jersey #: 43 / Nickname: Batman
Drafted out of the University of Maryland in the Fall of 2008, Joseph established himself as a dark horse on the ice, confounding opposing players, and occasionally teammates, with his ability to come out of nowhere and quickly earned the title of the Batman of Broomball. After 2 successful seasons, Joseph earned a spot on the BBC travel team and has participated in 6 National Tournaments, both mens and co-ed including 2 National Championships.

After several sessions of sitting on the sidelines watching my lovely wife playing this sport I have grown to love, I decided to sign up and play.  Learning the game quickly, and developing my abilities I played till a large obsession grew. The friends I have found in the league are irreplaceable and have enjoyed every game and social event revolved around this League!

Jerry Manint - Jersey #: 76 
Jerry grew up just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana in a small town known as Abita Springs.  Besides Jerry, the town has become famous for its amazing Beer - Abita Amber, Purplehaze, and Turbodog.  Coming from the New Orleans region, large areas of ice were foreign to Jerry.  Upon hearing the name broomball for the first time, he imagined the sport might be an activity played by maids and butlers who were fueling an addiction to sweeping and cleaning. Forced to play the great sport of broomball by Mike Garlow during the summer pick-up sessions of 2010, Jerry has now become a familiar face in the Baltimore Broomball Club where he serves as a referee and team captain (from time to time). He enjoys encouraging others to play and is always entertained by their expressions as he explains the sport.  Through half ice and full ice play, broomball has become Jerry's ice hockey, without having to learn to skate!

Paul Seiffert – Jersey #: 18  / Nickname: The Mantis, Paulster
Paul started playing broomball in 2002 at Union College where it was played by much of the campus as an intramural, but very competitive, sport. In 2007 he joined up with BBC where he usually plays goalie. You can also find him reffing, playing on the tourney team and roaming too far out of the goal crease.
