Baltimore Broomball Club members including out-of-state lifetime member Adam Simpson joined to form the thrid team entry for the 2010 DCBI - Wandering Aquatic Jumbo Lump Strippers.  The team went 3-0 in pool play on Saturday against Dayton BuckIce, Philly and NYC Broomz.  Sandeep took a tough fall and dislocated his shoulder in the NYC game.  Hours later he was back hanging with the team and wishing us well for the Sunday match ups.  We wish you a fast recovery Sandeep! 

Entering single game elimation brackets on Sunday morning the Strippers faced off again friends, club members and lots of St. Johns to win in double overtime 2-1.  The game was a rematch of the 2009 championship game and was as exciting as players and fans have come to expect when these two teams square up. Jan did what Jan does best throughout the game, but specifically into the second overtime where he took the ball up the ice, powered through two players (and drew at least one penalty!) to pass the ball to Annie who patienty closed in on the open net and put it in for the 2-1 win. 

The semi-final game would be the Strippers' last of the tournament finishing with a 1-2 loss to North Carolina.  The game was cut short due to a scheduling error by 6:46 minutes. 

As always, the Strippers played hard, had a great time together and enjoyed time with broomball friends old and new.
